As a fun little project, I wrote an online meme creator entirely in Javascript about 2-3 years ago. JSMeme has no watermarks and works entirely client-side. The source code of JSMeme is on GitHub.
In the fall of 2015, I rewrote JSMeme from the ground-up and released it as version 2.0.
As of April 11, 2016, I shut down JSMeme's official website and put the web app right here.
